K Street Public Affairs was founded in 2015 by Karen Kominsky, a veteran State of New Jersey government and public affairs professional. K Street specializes in government affairs, strategic communications and grassroots advocacy; working to guide clients, who are starting and growing businesses in the state, through the legislative and regulatory landscape of New Jersey government.
K Street works with Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, a dynamic law firm founded in 1996 on the belief that business objectives can only be achieved by combining strategic and aggressive legal advocacy with top-tier government affairs capabilities.
Lead attorneys of the law firm, who have held public office on the state, county, or local level, work closely with Kominsky in this venture. The team includes Paul T. Fader, who previously served as Chief Counsel to New Jersey Governor Richard Codey and James E. McGreevey, and as a two-term Mayor of the City of Englewood; Lou Cappelli, Jr. who is a four-term Camden County Freeholder Director; Douglas J. Steinhardt, the former five-term Mayor of the Township of Lopatcong and leader in the New Jersey Republican Party; and Michael Perrucci, a leading litigator and renowned real estate developer.
Together the team has more than 100 years of experience with government affairs. K Street has an in-depth understanding of government at all levels. They know how to shape and change policies, and have the ability to guide clients through the regulatory maze and legislative process in New Jersey.
K Street is ready to provide campaign style solutions to help clients meet their objectives. Crafting the appropriate message, bringing strategic partners on board, communicating with the public and the media about an initiative are necessary elements to achieving success.
K Street Public Affairs is well positioned to craft and execute these solutions to overcome challenges our clients face.
